Isuochi Progressive Union (IPU) is a non-profit charitable organization focused on making a positive difference in the lives of Isuochi people living in the USA and in Nigeria. The organization is also dedicated to participating in improving the communities where we live in the USA. The Union(formerly known as Umunneochi progressive Union)was formed in 1997 by émigrés of Isuochi living in the USA. The primary objectives of the organization are:

• To promote the well being of Isuochi people living in the USA.
  
• To participate in the development of Isuochi and in the improvement of the quality
  of lives of Isuochi people living in Nigeria.
  
• To develop programs and environment that will ensure that our children are useful
  citizens of the United States while being rooted in their culture.
  
• To engage in fund raising activities relating to any or all of the above activities.
  

The Isuochi progressive Union funds its projects through donations by members, friends and corporations.  The organization’s projects in Nigeria are managed by an all volunteer committee of elders and community leaders.
