About Our Senator
 

  • Successfully completed two medical missions in 2006 and 2007. More than two thousand patients were treated and drugs valued at more than $70,000.00 were dispensed. The missions were held at the General Hospital, Nkwoagu, Isuochi and led by Drs. Lewe Okereke, Robert Okpara and Nkem Chukwumerije.

  • A borehole has been sunk at the General Hospital, Nkwoagu. The borehole was donated by Isuochi born philanthropists, Sir (Chief) Kingsley Onyejeocha and Honorable Chief (Mrs.) Nkeiruka Onyejeocha.

  • Donated medical equipment to the General Hospital, Nkwoagu valued at more than $20,000.00.

  • Implemented a stipend for the Chief physician at the General
    Hospital, Nkwoagu to ensure adequate coverage.

  • Recently established the Youth Wing of the union.

  • Successfully held several conventions and fund raising events since birth.

  • Plans have been completed to begin construction of the nurses’ quarters at the General Hospital, Nkwoagu.  We anticipate construction to begin in fall 2007.

  • Established the Women’s Wing that is helping hone the organization’s strategy.

  • Added Baltimore/DC as our newest chapter.

  • Implemented participatory leadership structure that incorporates chapter leadership in decision making and strategy.
